The Xbox 360 has a variety of accessories. Check out an overview of several below.

Battery packs and chargers

* Quick Charge Kit: Use this to charge your two rechargeable battery packs quickly.

* Play and Charge kit: This recharges at a slower rate by connecting the wireless controller into one of the USB ports, but does let the games to continue while the controller is in the process of recharging. A rechargeable battery pack is included in the package. You can use the Play and Charge kit with a wireless controller while the battery pack is, but keep in mind that on a computer, it will not let a wireless pad be used as a wired controller.

* Rechargeable battery pack: You can get a 30-hour rechargeable nickel metal hydride battery pack for continuous gaming with wireless controllers. This is preferred over non-rechargeable AA batteries and comes with the Play & Charge Kit.

Steering Wheel

The "Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel" is a steering wheel controller featuring standard game pad buttons. It boasts a floor-mounted accelerator and brake pedals. The steering wheel can operate with a rechargeable battery pack. Note that when you want to use the force feedback and active resistance features, you’ll need an external AC adaptor.

Faceplates

Change your standard white faceplate with a custom design faceplate for about $20 each. Check online for manufactures and retailers, or eBay. Faceplates and skins are an inexpensive modification and are a popular Xbox 360 accessory.

Memory

You can pick up an optional detachable SATA 20 GB hard drive to store your music, games, trailer downloads, demos, player preferences, levels and other Xbox content. This hard drive can also be used to transfer data between Xbox 360 units

You can also get portable 64 and 256 MB memory units that enable transferring of saved data to other Xboxes. You can transfer: profiles, games and achievements with this Xbox 360 accessory.

Networking

You can buy a wireless networking adapter or one of several third-party adapters that go through the ethernet port.

Headset

Any standard 2.5 mm socket hands-free headset, like from a cell phone, should do the trick. Even a regular over-your-head headset will work. There are also wireless headsets available.
